What should a review request text message say?

A good request sounds like a business owner who wants to listen. Say who you are, thank the customer and give them a simple place to tell you what went well or what needs attention.

After a completed appointment

Hi Alex, thank you for visiting Harbour Studio today. How was your experience? We would love to know what went well or what we could do better: [review link]. Thanks, Jamie. Use this with a feedback page that gives customers room to explain. Keep sensitive appointment details out of the message.

After a completed job

Hi Alex, thanks for choosing Harbour Services. Now the job is finished, is there anything you would like us to know about your experience? You can share your feedback here: [review link]. Thank you, Jamie. A useful reply might reveal a small snag or a handover question you can address. Read it before deciding what to do next.

After an order has arrived

Hi Alex, thank you for your order from Harbour Shop. Once you have had a chance to use it, please let us know how it went: [review link]. We appreciate hearing what worked and what could be better. Thanks, Jamie. Allow time for delivery and actual use; an order confirmation is usually too early to ask about the whole experience.

A brief follow-up

Hi Alex, a quick follow-up from Harbour Studio. If there is anything you would like us to know about your visit, you can share it here: [review link]. Thank you again. A reminder is an invitation to speak, not a demand for a review. If the customer has already raised a concern, respond to that concern instead of sending another generic request.

Check before sending

Replace the placeholders and check the name, destination and recipient. Make sure the link does what the message suggests: a direct Google link invites a public Google review, while a RateReviewMe request page also accepts feedback for the business. Ask for the customer's own experience, without a suggested rating or a reward. Respect their contact preferences.

How does RateReviewMe help?

The iPhone app prepares a request with a short link and opens Messages for you to check and send. Customers can explain their experience on the request page, and submitted feedback appears with the request history. Pro supports saved custom SMS wording; you can also edit the prepared message in Messages. You decide how to respond to any issue. A Messages send result does not establish delivery or publication of a public review.
